Transformers: Merchandising Gone Mad
Transforming shoes!

Nike has taken the shape of its Nike Free 7.0 and spliced it with the Transformers Megatron and Convoy to create the pieces of inspired footwear you can see below. Granted, a robot that can turn into a plane is a bit cooler than one that turns into trainers, but we bet it's also a fair bit more pricey.
Alas, the trainers are currently only available in Japan. If you're really desperate for a pair, however, you can get some off eBay here.
You can find out more about the upcoming Transformers game on SPOnG's dedicated page. If you're a DS owner you might want to look at Transformers: Autobots and Decepticons.

I used to always really want the Omega Supreme Clarks Shoes when I was younger, but my Mum wouldn't get them for me, partially due to the velcroe. I was going to have a proper shoe, with proper shoelaces, and learn to tie my own shoelaces. =(. Sob. Whimper.....Omega Supreme....

Clarke's Pathfinders... King of all shoes, ever... compass in the heel... animal paw prints for tracks... and you could kick the s**t out of an old ball in the rain on grass against those total bastards from Compton or Owslebury or Compton.
Erm... so my grand dad told me.

Sorry but just to clarify... is this a piss take? Or can I actually go out and buy a pair of shoes that will transform into a robot? I only ask because Im the sort of person who finds that incredibly cool and will go to great lengths for a pair of transformer shoes!! I would love that, everyone would think I was a sad loser but I could whap my shoes off and transform them in front of them and theyd all wish they has a pair! Id be a demi-god in my mind... and thats all that matters. Or so I keep telling myself.
